Hippodrome Site 2009 - Now 'Middleton Arena'


A shiny new building now stands on the old Hippodrome site, well its car park does anyway, impressive in its own right, it does however lack character and looks soulless compared to the old Hippodrome. Let's see if this lasts 80 odd years, I don't think so !

For those of you who haven't been down to Middleton recently or have moved out of the area, this is a selection of photographs taken August 2009, some 2 years after the bulldozers demolished the Hippodrome.

Who know, perhaps one day we can organise a Reunion night here......
